How to start the motorcycle when it is cold?
Use the choke button by pulling it upward. Make sure the motorcycle is in neutral and turn the key to ON. Press the electric start button without twisting the throttle. After a few seconds, the engine warms up and you can push the choke back while twisting the throttle.
What type of engine oil to use and how much?
Use SAE 5W50 oil meeting API SF or SG standards. The capacity is approximately 1800 cc. Check the level with the dipstick after running the engine and waiting 3 minutes.
How to adjust the drive chain?
The chain slack should be 30 to 50 mm between the chain and the swingarm. Loosen the rear axle nut and adjuster locknuts, then turn the adjustment bolts evenly. Tighten the axle nut to 98 Nm.
What to do if the engine does not start?
First check the fuse of the starter relay (under the right side panel). If the battery is discharged, recharge it or use the kick-starter. Clean the spark plug if it is wet or fouled. If the engine is flooded, operate the kick-starter 5 to 10 times with the throttle wide open.
How to drain the coolant?
Wait for the engine to cool. Place a container under the water pump drain plug. Remove the radiator cap and drain plug. After draining, tighten the drain plug (9 Nm) and fill the radiator to the top with a 50% demineralized water, 50% permanent antifreeze mixture.
What is the recommended tire pressure?
Pressure varies depending on terrain. On hard track, increase pressure; on soft or wet terrain, reduce it. Adjust according to preferences, but always check when cold. Typical off-road pressure is around 1.0 to 1.2 bar front and 1.0 to 1.4 bar rear.
How to adjust the front fork?
The fork allows adjustment of rebound and compression via clickers (16 clicks). Turn clockwise to stiffen, counterclockwise to soften. The oil level can be adjusted (standard 110-120 mm) to change end-of-stroke progression.
When to change the spark plug?
Inspect the spark plug every 30 hours. Replace it every 60 hours. The electrode gap should be 0.7 to 0.8 mm. Use an NGK CR8E or equivalent.
How to clean the air filter?
Remove the filter cover, unscrew the wing nut, and take out the element. Clean it with a specific air filter solvent, squeeze it without twisting, then lightly oil it. Check that it is not torn before reinstalling.
What to do if the motorcycle overheats?
Check the coolant level (1.1 L). Clean the radiator fins with low-pressure water. Ensure the radiator is not clogged with mud. If the problem persists, the fan or thermostat may be faulty.
